At AAYDS®, our story isn’t just about providing disability support—it’s about standing up for those who have been let down, creating meaningful connections, and transforming lives through personalised care.
Our journey began in 2020, but the heart of AAYDS® was formed long before then. Our founder, Allison, spent years working in the disability sector, witnessing firsthand the gaps in the system and the devastating effects of inadequate support. It was one individual—May—who ignited the fire that became AAYDS®.
May had been mistreated, neglected, and failed by those who were supposed to protect her. She needed care beyond a standard service—she needed people who truly understood her, who saw her as more than just a participant, but as a person deserving of dignity, joy, and a life filled with opportunities. When the system failed her, Allison fought for her. And when that fight became bigger than one person, AAYDS® was born.
We built AAYDS® on the principle that every participant deserves not just support, but the right support—delivered by a team that matches their personality, needs, and goals. We don’t just send workers—we build support teams, fostering trust, companionship, and real progress.
But our journey wasn’t without challenges. Just as AAYDS® was taking its first steps, Allison faced a personal battle—one that nearly took her life. A major health crisis left her fighting for survival, and in her absence, the company she worked so hard to build was nearly taken from her. But resilience is in our DNA. Through sheer determination, she fought back, reclaimed AAYDS®, and rebuilt it stronger than ever.
Today, AAYDS® stands as a testament to the power of compassion, integrity, and genuine care. We operate in Moreton Bay, Queensland, delivering Supported Independent Living (SIL), one-on-one community and in-home support, and accessible transport services. Our hero service—matching participants with the right support team—ensures that every individual feels valued, empowered, and truly cared for.
